        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Illinois  Springfield  junior  pitcher  Rosie  Bartletti  has  been  named  to  the  Division  II  Conference  Commissioners  Association  (D2CCA)  Second  Team  All-Region,  the  organization  announced  Tuesday.  It  marks  the  first  all-region  honor  of  her  career.

Bartletti  was  one  of  seven  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  (GLVC)  student-athletes  named  to  the  second  team,  and  one  of  two  pitchers  from  the  conference,  joining  Sami  Huck  of  McKendree.  Earlier  this  month,  Bartletti  was  named  First  Team  All-GLVC,  capping  a  breakout  season  in  the  circle  and  at  the  plate.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">UIS  junior  distance  runner  Madelyn  Miller  has  officially  qualified  for  the  NCAA  Division  II  Outdoor  Track  &amp;  Field  Championships,  taking  place  May  22–24  at  the  CSU  Pueblo  ThunderBowl  in  Pueblo,  Colo.

Miller  will  compete  in  both  the  10,000m  and  5,000m  events.  The  10,000m  final  is  scheduled  for  9:10  p.m.  CT  on  Thursday,  May  22,  with  the  5,000m  final  set  for  9:05  p.m.  CT  on  Saturday,  May  24.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">A  critical  plumbing  repair  will  be  performed  this  week  on  the  first  floor  of  Brookens  -  both  classroom  and  library  sides.  Crews  will  be  replacing  a  sewage  pump,  which  requires  shutting  off  water  for  the  entire  first  floor.  This  will  affect  restrooms,  sinks,  and  water  fountains  on  the  first  floor  only.  The  water  service  will  continue  normally, and  facilities  will  be  available  on  all  other  floors.



Work  is  scheduled  to  begin  on  Tuesday,  May  13  and  wrap  up  on  Thursday,  May  15.
