End of affirmative action won't alter operations for some Illinois colleges

State to invest more in college educations with AIM HIGH scholarships

"The state is investing more money into a program state leaders hope keeps top students in Illinois colleges.
The AIM HIGH grant helps students who attend the state’s four-year public universities and maintain a GPA determined by their university are eligible for the money. And education leaders want to make the program permanent.
Ryan Copeland leaves UIS for head coaching role at Northern Illinois University

"After four years as the head coach of the University of Illinois Springfield baseball team, Ryan Copeland has accepted the head coaching position at Northern Illinois University
Copeland finished his head coaching career with the Prairie Stars with a 131-38 record, winning a conference, regional and super-regional championship in 2022. That same year, the Prairie Stars appeared in the NCAA Championship Tournament."
UIS fills campus leadership position
