        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  women's  track  and  field  team  is  set  to  compete  at  the  Jim  Vargo  Invite  in  Louisville  this  weekend,  with  the  action  beginning  at  4:15  p.m.  Central  on  Friday  and  continuing  at  11:00  a.m.  Central  on  Saturday.

Entries
On  Friday  evening,  Emma  Leahy  and  Marissa  Roggensack  will  race  in  the  1500  meters,  followed  by  Lillian  Buzani,  Josslyn  Gaona,  Kaleigh  Inniss,  and  Jordan  Serrahn  in  the  5,000  meters.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  track  and  field  team  is  set  to  compete  at  Bellarmine's  Jim  Vargo  Invitational  in  Louisville  this  weekend,  with  events  kicking  off  at  4:15  p.m.  Central  on  Friday  and  continuing  at  11:00  a.m.  Central  on  Saturday.

Entries
The  competition  will  begin  Friday  with  Aidan  Donohue,  Isaac  Cortes,  and  Gabe  Martinez  in  the  invitational  heats  of  the  1500  meters.  Following  those,  the  invitational  heats  of  the  5,000  meters  and  the  only  heat  of  the  10,000  meters  will  showcase  a  significant  portion  of  the  UIS  roster.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  baseball  team  travels  to  Fayette,  Iowa,  this  week  for  a  four-game  GLVC  series  against  Upper  Iowa,  featuring  two  of  the  GLVC's  top-performing  teams  as  of  late.  Both  squads  have  reached  10  GLVC  wins  this  season  and  will  face  off  at  Robertson  Woods  Field,  beginning  with  a  single  game  on  Friday  at  2:00  p.m.,  a  doubleheader  on  Saturday  at  1:00  p.m.,  and  concluding  with  the  series  finale  on  Sunday  at  noon.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Conor  was  inducted  into  Pi  Sigma  Alpha.  Conor  works  part-time  for  the  Collins  Law  Firm  as  a  video  editor.  He  is  also  a  fellow  with  the  Progressive  Turnout  Project  as  a  canvasser  for  the  Sean  Casten  campaign.  He  hopes  to  work  in  the  state  legislature.  He  is  the  owner  of  the  newsletter  and  podcast,  The  Progressive  American.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Amy  teaches  10th  and  11th  grade  history  at  Cornell  High  School  and  a  dual-  enrollment  Government  and  Politics  course  for  seniors  in  partnership  with  Robert  Morris  University.  She  was  one  of  18  educators  awarded  the  2024-25  Fulbright  Distinguished  Award  in  Teaching  to  the  United  Kingdom.  She  will  spend  four  months  at  the  University  of  Glasgow  researching  civics  and  humanities  education  in  the  Scottish  Curriculum  for  Excellence.</div>
