During the March 2025 Lunch and Learn Series, Dr. Hei-Chi Chan, UIS associate professor of mathematical sciences and philosophy and co-founder of the university’s AI Campus Learning Community, gave a presentation on the evolution of AI, the university's AI Campus Learning Community, how students can make the best use of AI, and the future of AI in our society. UIS is offering a camp on AI this summer."
Carmen Llopis Fabra Earns Unanimous First Team All-GLVC Honors
UIS senior Carmen Llopis Fabra has been named a unanimous First Team All-GLVC selection, earning the third all-conference honor of her career.
The Castellon, Spain native has put together a dominant spring season, going 5-0 in GLVC singles play and recently climbing from No. 73 to a season-best No. 51 in the ITA national singles rankings. Her GLVC singles wins included a key victory over the No. 25-ranked player from Indianapolis in the final week of the regular season.
UIS Softball Rallies to Stay Alive in GLVC Tournament
The UIS softball team bounced back from a 7-1 loss to No. 1 seed Drury with a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win over Maryville to remain in contention at the 2024 GLVC Championship Tournament on Thursday.
