        <div  class="newsletter-txt">University  of  Illinois  Springfield  will  host  six  Engaged  Citizenship  Common  Experience  (ECCE)  Speaker  Series  events  during  Spring  Semester  2024.  The  series  presents  events  that  promote  and  adhere  to  the  value  of  engaged  citizenship,  cultural  awareness  and  respect  for  diversity.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">As  part  of  UIS'  "Exploring  Graduate  School"  week,  Public  Affairs  Reporting  director  Jason  Piscia  this  week  hosted  a  presentation  highlighting  the  financial,  educational  and  professional  advantages  of  our  10-month  master's  69����app  program  that  focuses  on  journalism  about  politics  and  government.



Piscia  also  interviews  Ben  Szalinski,  a  2021  PAR  graduate  who  is  now  a  legislative  reporter  with  The  Daily  Line,  a  political  newsletter  based  in  Chicago.

I  am  thrilled  to  share  that  we  are  offering  faculty  and  staff  the  opportunity  to  attend  another  on-campus  Professional  Development  Retreat  as  part  of  our  Rise  initiative.  This  semester’s  retreat  will  take  place  Friday,  March  1,  and  is  focused  on  Redefining  Workplace  Culture.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  Visual  Arts  Gallery  is  pleased  to  present  “Consider  a  Disappearance,”  an  exhibition  by  Chicago-based  artist  and  experimental  filmmaker  Ruby  Que.&nbsp;“Consider  a  Disappearance”  will  open  on  Monday,  Feb.  12  and  run  through  Thursday,  March  7.  An  opening  reception  will  be  held  at  the  gallery  from  5:30  to  8:00  p.m.  on  Thursday,  Feb.  15.</div>
