UIS students to help with hurricane relief in Florida

"A group of eight University of Illinois Springfield students and one adviser will spend their spring break helping to rebuild Florida following Hurricane Ian as part of an Alternative Spring Break trip.
The group will leave Springfield for Fort Myers, Florida, on Saturday, March 11, and return on Saturday, March 18.
UIS Campus Recreation to host its annual Health and Safety Fair
WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield Department of Campus Recreation will host its annual Health and Safety Fair. This event is free and open to the public, UIS students, faculty, staff and alumni.
WHEN: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023
WHERE: UIS Quad
DETAILS: The event will offer meal prep ideas, a rock-climbing wall, outdoor yard games, prizes and giveaways.
Five faculty projects will receive program assessment grants for the 2023-2024 academic year
The University of Illinois Springfield Office of the Provost, in conjunction with the Campus Senate Committee on the Assessment of Student Learning, is pleased to announce that five faculty projects will be receiving program assessment grants for the 2023-2024 academic year. This grant program, which is in its inaugural year, is designed to promote best practices in program-level assessment of student learning outcomes.
