SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (October  1,  2018)  –  After  a  brief  hiatus  this  spring,  the  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  team  has  returned  for  the  new  competitive  season.  Over  the  summer,  the  team  was  relocated  back  to  the  Department  of  Communication  and  a  new  director  has  been  hired.  The  team  is  now  looking  for  new  recruits  to  relaunch  this  successful  program.</div>

SPRINGFIELD,  IL.  (October  8,  2018)  –  The  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  team  is  looking  for  new  team  members  for  the  2018-2019  competitive  season.  Membership  on  the  team  is  open  to  all  undergraduate  students  at  UIS  regardless  of  major.  No  previous  experience  is  required  to  join  the  team.</div>

SPRINGFIELD,  IL.  (December  12,  2018)  –  The  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  Team  traveled  to  three  competitions  during  the  fall  semester.  After  observing  rounds  at  the  Harris-Hahn-Howell  Tournament  held  at  Illinois  Central  College  in  October,  the  team  traveled  to  Ohio  in  November  and  Missouri  in  December.</div>
