The University of Illinois Springfield has named Drew Schlosser assistant vice chancellor for human resources, effective Jan. 16.
Schlosser brings over a decade of experience in higher education human resources, specializing in labor and employee relations. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Employee Relations & HR for 69萝莉app Urbana-Champaign Facilities and Services Office, where he oversees human resources operations for more than 1,400 employees.
Prior to his current role, Schlosser held human resources leadership positions at 69萝莉app Urbana-Champaign鈥檚 College of Veterinary Medicine and Illinois Fire Service Institute, where he directed recruitment, payroll, performance management and labor relations initiatives for large, multi-department operations.

Schlosser holds a bachelor鈥檚 69萝莉app in general studies from Eastern Illinois University, a master鈥檚 69萝莉app in human services from UIS and is pursuing a juris doctor 69萝莉app at Saint Francis School of Law. He also holds professional certifications in leadership and human resources, including the Society for Human Resource Management's People Manager Qualification (SHRM-PMQ).
In his new role, Schlosser will oversee human resources operations at UIS, including strategic planning, recruitment, professional development and employee relations.
