What’s your favorite season of the year and why?

My favorite season is fall. I love everything about it—the changing leaves, the crisp weather and, most importantly, Halloween.

Visiting Pumpkin Creek Farm has become a yearly tradition for my family, and I look forward to it every year. We love their corn maze because it has trivia questions as you navigate through it. We’ve made it a competition to see who gets the most answers correct—competing with siblings is always fun! We can't wait to take my nephew this fall for the first time!

What’s something you’re really proud of?

I'm proud of my decision to overcome anxiety and return to pursue my master's 69ÂÜÀòapp. As an undergraduate, I wasn’t the best student and often waited until the last minute to complete assignments.

Now, in my master’s program, I use my planner to stay organized and complete assignments in advance whenever possible. This and taking my courses more seriously has helped me maintain a 4.0 GPA!

Who is a mentor who has had a significant impact on your career?

Dr. Jessica Flynn had a profound impact on both my career and personal life. I had the privilege of calling her my mentor during the last two years of my undergraduate studies, and she was everything I needed in that role. She provided invaluable guidance in all aspects of life, especially after I lost my father during my freshman year. Even when I needed advice I didn’t want to hear, I knew I could always count on her.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. From March to December, I stay busy watching Formula One racing. I became a fan after a group of online friends suggested I give it a try. Since we live all over the world, we watch the races together on Discord. Waking up between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. to catch the races can be tough, but I’m proud to say I didn’t miss a single race last season.

When there’s no race, you can find me watching hockey. My dad was a big Chicago sports fan—rooting for the Bulls, Blackhawks and Cubs—so I was always interested in hockey. However, I didn’t become fully invested until 2020, when I met a group of fellow hockey fans. I attended my first NHL game in 2021!
