UIS Psychology co-hosts Send Silence Packing display
UIS hosted the nationally touring Send Silence Packing display on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. The all-day event, held on the UIS quad, aimed to inspire action for suicide prevention and connect participants with local and national mental health resources. Organized by the UIS Active Minds student chapter, the Department of Psychology, the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center, and the Counseling Center, the display encouraged conversations about creating a positive community climate for mental health.
How can I afford college?
College is an investment, and understanding the full cost of college is important. When researching the cost of different colleges, most do a simple Google search and accept the first number that appears as the cost. The real cost varies depending on several factors: location, program, financial aid and scholarships.
Need Help Fundraising? Crowdfunding is Back!
UIS Crowdfunding provides an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to raise funds for University-related projects. Our goal is to provide support and guidance to units seeking funding and to create a unique experience for donors to make an impact on the UIS community.
