Good morning UIS,
I hope you had a restful holiday weekend and that you enjoyed a well-deserved chance to relax and recharge. It’s the perfect time to step back, reflect on the achievements of the past academic year and prepare for exciting opportunities ahead. As a reminder, this is my last bimonthly newsletter; you’ll only hear from me once in July and August, respectively.
Elaine Grant Closes Season at NCAA DII Women’s Golf Championship
University of Illinois Springfield women's golfer Elaine Grant competed in the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championship this week in Winter Garden, Fla. Grant finished T63 in her career-first national tournament appearance. She was part of a 98-golfer field that played 54 holes on the Panther Lake Course at Orange County National.

How would you describe your experience as an online student at UIS?

Jeff Gutierrez
Gutierrez says he chose the UIS MS in Finance program because of the excellent reputation of UIS and that the program was entirely online and affordable. He advises future online students to do their work early in the week, as "competing priority can arise as the week progresses, making it difficult to dedicate adequate time to your studies."
