        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  softball  team  opened  the  GLVC  Tournament  with  a  strong  statement,  taking  down  No.  4  seed  McKendree  7-2  on  Wednesday  afternoon  at  the  EastSide  Centre.  The  win  marked  the  Prairie  Stars'  first  conference  tournament  victory  since  2019  and  improved  their  record  to  30-18  on  the  season.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  softball  team  was  recognized  with  three  All-GLVC  selections  on  Wednesday,  as  Rosie  Bartletti  and  Ella  Brinkley  were  named  to  the  First  Team  and  Taylor  Zawacki  earned  a  spot  on  the  Second  Team.  The  announcement  came  after  the  team's  7-2  victory  over  McKendree  in  the  opening  round  of  the  GLVC  Tournament,  which  improved  the  team's  record  to  30-18.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  track  and  field  team  is  set  to  compete  at  the  2025  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  Outdoor  Championships  this  week.  The  event,  hosted  by  Lewis  this  year,  will  take  place  Thursday  through  Saturday,  May  1–3,  in  Romeoville,  Ill.

The  Prairie  Stars  will  be  well  represented  in  distance  and  middle-distance  events  across  all  three  days  of  competition.</div>

This  in-person  training,  led  by  Ray  Rodriguez,  will  focus  on  recognizing  and  addressing  interpersonal  bias  in  the  workplace,  emphasizing  the  roles  of  ethics,  equity,  and  culture.</div>
