University of Illinois Springfield聽earned its first聽bid to the聽NCAA Division II聽national聽men's tennis聽tournament on Tuesday.聽聽
UIS was awarded the fifth seed in the Midwest Regional and will face fourth-seeded Hillsdale in a first-round match聽in Midland, Michigan on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
The聽Prairie Stars finished the regular season with an 11-4 record and advanced聽to聽the Great Lakes Valley Conference semifinals last weekend. Hillsdale won the聽Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament and went 15-2 on the season.
