Know a Star: Camille Terre, Cross Country/Track & Field
Camille Terre is a graduate student on the UIS women's cross country and track & field teams. She is from Annecy Lake, a city in the Frech Alps where residents swim in the summer and ski in the winter. Running isn't her only athletic interest, Camille loves hiking, skiing, climbing peaks, and riding her bike. She joined the UIS XC/track program at the same time she started her master's 69ÂÜÀòapp in communication.

Ashley Martinez Alvarez appreciates how easy it is to build friendships at the University of Illinois Springfield. She works as a student employee in Student Life and is a member of Women of Distinction and the Art Student League. Martinez Alvarez chose UIS for its peaceful environment and natural surroundings. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in the arts and further develop her craft.

Getting to know you: John Ferry
John Ferry is a distinguished professor of chemistry and biochemistry in the UIS School of Integrated Sciences, Sustainability, and Public Health. His research areas include environmental chemistry, toxicology, microbial ecology, and science outreach.

The Cox Children’s Center and the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center are once again hosting Trunk or Treat for Canned Goods. Please sign up to participate in this year’s event which is being held on Friday, October 25, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Set up will begin as early as 8 a.m.
