        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  softball  team  dropped  both  games  of  its  final  regular-season  doubleheader  at  Lewis,  falling  4-3  in  11  innings  in  game  one  and  5-0  in  game  two.  The  Prairie  Stars  finish  the  regular  season  with  a  29-18  overall  record  and  a  17-11  mark  in  GLVC  play.  It  is  the  first  time  UIS  has  been  swept  in  a  conference  doubleheader  since  the  GLVC  opener  against  Truman  State  on  March  7.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  men's  tennis  team  dropped  its  final  two  matches  of  the  regular  season,  falling  to  No.  17  Indianapolis  and  McKendree  at  home.  The  Prairie  Stars  finished  the  year  with  an  0-12  overall  record  and  0-5  mark  in  GLVC  play.</div>

Due  to  forecasted  rain,  Friday's  match  against  No.  17  Indianapolis  has  been  moved  indoors  and  will  be  played  at  2:00  p.m.  at  the  Springfield  Racquet  and  Fitness  Center.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  baseball  team  is  listed  among  the  programs  under  consideration  in  the  first  NCAA  Division  II  Midwest  Regional  Rankings  of  the  2025  season,  released  Wednesday  evening.

This  week's  rankings  are  presented  alphabetically,  with  UIS  among  nine  teams  recognized  in  a  competitive  Midwest  Region  field.</div>
