A  multidisciplinary  team  of  UIS  colleagues  has  developed  an  exciting  half-day  retreat  focused  on  Workplace  Wellness.</div>

Formerly  referred  to  as  our  faculty  convocation,  this  event  is  a  renewed  all-employee  assembly  intended  to  kick  off  the  new  academic  year  together!  Join  us  from  3-5  p.m.  on  Thursday,  Aug.  24,  2023,  in  the  Student  Union  Ballroom  to  hear  briefly  from  Chancellor  Gooch  and  each  vice  chancellor  about  our  goals  for  this  year,  and  we  will  share  introductory  information  about  our  newest  faculty  colleagues  and  administrators.  This  event  will  be  capped  off  with  snacks  and  time  to  catch  up  with  colleagues.</div>

According  to  Forbes,  UIS  made  the  list  because  of  its  low  student-to-faculty  ratio,  use  of  the  common  app  and  high  student  retention  rate.</div>
