"The  state  is  investing  more  money  into  a  program  state  leaders  hope  keeps  top  students  in  Illinois  colleges.



The  AIM  HIGH  grant  helps  students  who  attend  the  state’s  four-year  public  universities  and  maintain  a  GPA  determined  by  their  university  are  eligible  for  the  money.  And  education  leaders  want  to  make  the  program  permanent.</div>

"After  four  years  as  the  head  coach  of  the  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  baseball  team,  Ryan  Copeland  has  accepted  the  head  coaching  position  at  Northern  Illinois  University



Copeland  finished  his  head  coaching  career  with  the  Prairie  Stars  with  a  131-38  record,  winning  a  conference,  regional  and  super-regional  championship  in  2022.  That  same  year,  the  Prairie  Stars  appeared  in  the  NCAA  Championship  Tournament."</div>

"University  of  Illinois  Springfield  Continuing  and  Professional  Education  will  hold  a  STEM-focused  summer  camp  for  high  school  students  this  year.



The  week-long  camp  will  feature  AI  in  autonomous  vehicles  and  is  available  for  high  students  entering  eighth  through  tenth  grades  will  be  held  from  9  a.m.  to  3  p.m.  August  7-11,  2023,  on  the  UIS  campus.  The  cost  is  $149  per  student."</div>
