University of Illinois Springfield Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) is offering high school students four opportunities to experience campus life and learn new skills through its 2025 Academic Summer Camps. The camps provide hands-on learning in public policy, environmental science, reading strategies and artificial intelligence.

The University of Illinois Springfield hosts academic summer camps each year to help area high school students explore career options, gain practical skills through hands-on learning and have an unforgettable summer experience. All of our camps are taught by our world-class faculty, and we are open to applications.

Each experience will be led by UIS faculty and will offer students a challenging, fun and affordable summer experience focused on exploring emerging technologies.

The Night Before: A Trauma-Informed Virtual Experiential Training webinar series
Alliance for Experiential Problem-Based Learning (UIS) is partnering with the State Board of Education to offer a free The Night Before: A Trauma-Informed Virtual Experiential Training webinar series. 30 dates available. 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Create an account and register. UIS-CSI: Crime Scene Institute
Registration is open!
High School students learn to investigate a crime scene utilizing the Residential Simulation Lab at UIS. The Criminology, Chemistry and Child Advocacy Studies programs will collaborate to create an experiential crime scene, utilizing interviewing skills and problem-based learning.
When: July 7 & 8, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (students can arrive as early as 8am and be picked up by 4pm).
