The State Department of Central Management Services (CMS) has announced that the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Benefit Choice enrollment period will begin May 1 and end May 31, 2024.
If you do not want to change health, dental, life or dependent coverage, your current elections will continue. Note: You must enroll or re-enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts each year.
The arena in TRAC will be closed for a refinish and repaint job beginning Monday, April 29 until Wednesday, May 29. This is completed approximately every ten years.
The rest of the facility will remain open as normal.

The Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) has mandated that all public institutions of higher learning write an equity plan, which is due in May. Dr. Tena Helton is heading this effort for the UIS campus.

Installation of two new rooftop units (RTUs) on the Student Life Building (SLB) will take place tomorrow, April 10. Beginning early tomorrow morning, a crane will be positioned on the east side of the building for this replacement process so please avoid the area while the crane is in place.
RTUs for the Human Resources Building (HRB) and the WUIS building will be installed soon. Currently the ground is too soft to safely position and use the crane. Stay tuned for a firm date when we get firm ground!
