Excitement is growing at 69萝莉app Springfield as construction is underway on the new Library Commons building. The publicly funded project was made possible by a $42.5 million investment from the State of Illinois.
As site preparation and construction for Library Commons continues between the Health Sciences Building (HSB) and Student Union, please avoid walking through parking Lot A-North and the sidewalks surrounding the construction area. Large machinery will be used and materials will be transported within the construction zone and nearby areas. To ensure safety, please use caution when walking near HSB and the Student Union.

As the University begins constructing Library Commons, parking Lot A-North will be closed for employees, students and campus visitors starting on July 7 to allow the contractor to install fencing to convert the lot into a laydown area for materials and carrying out construction operations.
Library Commons
The Library Commons is a publicly funded project made possible by a $42.5 million investment from the State of Illinois. The three-story, 52,000-square-foot building will be located between the Student Union and the Health Sciences Building on the UIS quad. Site preparation for the construction of this project is currently in progress.
