II. Scope
This Policy applies to all incoming, continuing and transfer student-athletes in the UIS athletics program.
III. Purpose
The Division of Student Affairs is proud to recognize the work of our students, faculty, and staff both inside and outside of the division!
The purpose of the Kudos Award is to recognize individuals for excellence as they 鈥済o the extra mile鈥� to help their colleagues鈥攚hether that鈥檚 stepping in to help in a pinch or contributing time and effort to tasks outside their regular job duties. Nominate someone for the Kudos Award聽at any time!
Risk Scenario 1: UIS Student Affairs receives a phone call from a student鈥檚 guardian. 鈥淢y child went on a trip with UIS, and I haven鈥檛 been able to reach him/her. I have reason to think that something went wrong. I鈥檓 not 100% sure what the trip was or where s/he was going. Can you help me?鈥�

No items are allowed to remain as a display at the conclusion of an event unless a member of the student organization remains with the items for the duration of the display. In addition, no holes may be dug in the ground or drilled into the wall for the purpose of such displays. Any item displayed at a student organization event must be on a stand or platform, or freestanding on the ground. Items cannot be draped or placed on campus benches, as that would interfere with the intended usage of those items.
This document establishes policy and provides procedural guidance on requests to use flag poles to display flags, pennants, banners or other items on University property by student organizations and groups.
Only requests from UIS recognized student organizations and groups shall be considered. Nothing prevents the University administration from using the flag poles for University purposes.
Beginning Spring, 2019, UIS Health Services will require Yellow Cards as evidence for immunization administered outside of the United States. Students unable to produce a Yellow Card to verify non-domestic vaccinations may receive the necessary immunizations at UIS Health Services or at any domestic health care provider of their choosing.
NOTE: This policy will be made explicitly clear in the application process so that all students are made aware of the requirements at the time they apply for admission to UIS.
