The  UIS  Faculty  and  Staff  Campaign  encourages  all  employees  to  support  the  area(s)  of  UIS  that  means  the  most  to  them.  ANY  donation,  or  ANY  amount,  from  July  1  -  June  30  counts  as  participation  for  this  year.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  (GLVC)  started  GLVC  Academic  Award  Week  by  announcing  its  2023-24  Academic  All-Conference  Team  Award  recipients  on  Monday.  Eleven  UIS  teams  earned  the  award  for  having  a  team  GPA  of  3.30  or  higher,  nine  of  which  averaged  above  3.50.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  School  of  Education  is  partnering  with  Springfield  Schools  District  186  to  establish  the  UIS  Restorative  Schools  Network.  This  initiative  will  involve  nine  schools,  focusing  on  improving  school  environments  through  restorative  practices,  which  emphasize  building  relationships  and  resolving  conflicts  within  the  school  community.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Ivan  Dahlberg,  the  sophomore  starting  catcher  on  the  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  baseball  team,  was  selected  to  the  2024  American  Baseball  Coaches  Assosication  (ABCA)  NCAA  Division  II  Midwest  Region  All-Defensive  team.  Dahlberg  was  one  of  four  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  athletes  selected  to  the  team.</div>
