Hi  everyone!  I’m  Dr.  Brandon  Bolte,  and  I  started  as  an  Assistant  Professor  of  Political  Science  in  the  UIS  School  of  Politics  and  International  Affairs  (SPIA)  in  Fall  2023.  Beginning  July  1,  I’ll  also  be  a  member  of  the  Board  of  Directors  of  the  World  Affairs  Council  of  Central  Illinois  (WACCI).</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Justin  Castillo  of  Chicago,  Illinois  has  been  admitted  to  the  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  for  Fall  Semester  2024  and  awarded  an  $8,000  Star  Scholar  Award  for  tuition  over  four  years.



The  scholarship  is  awarded  based  on  high  school  GPA  and  can  be  renewed  for  a  total  of  four  years  if  the  student  maintains  college  GPA  requirements.



Castillo  will  major  in  finance.  In  high  school,  he  was  involved  in  soccer.</div>
