Dr.  Karen  Moranski  is  the  Provost  and  Vice  President  of  Academic  Affairs  at  Sonoma  State  University,  but  prior  to  this  role  she  spent  21  years  at  the  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  as  a  faculty  member  and  administrator.  



She  spoke  to  Community  Voices  about  her  role  in  creating  the  Capital  Scholars  Honors  Program  at  UIS.  She  also  discussed  higher  education  and  ways  to  create  a  more  inclusive  experience.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Annual  testing  of  the  fire  alarm  systems  in  the  east/legacy  campus  buildings  will  take  place  this  Friday,  March  15.  The  test  procedures  will  include  the  intermittent  sounding  of  horns  and  activation  of  the  strobe  lights  to  ensure  all  components  of  the  system  are  working  properly.  You  should  not  ignore  any  alarms  sounding  outside  this  schedule  or  alarms  that  sound  for  a  prolonged  period  of  time.
