Facilities  and  Services  will  oversee  the  inspection  of  fire  alarm  systems  during  the  week  of  July  3rd.



This  is  primarily  a  visual  inspection,  but  there  will  be  brief,  intermittent  activations  of  alarm  horns  and  strobe  lights  as  part  of  inspection  procedures.</div>

As  reported  by  the  news  media,  various  institutions  were  targeted  in  a  May  31  ransomware  attack,  including  well-known  information  technology  and  accounting  firms.  University  of  Illinois  System  computers  were  not  compromised  in  this  event.  &nbsp;</div>

State  of  Illinois  systems  were  targeted  and/or  compromised  in  the  global  incident.  University  of  Illinois  System  computers  were  not  compromised.</div>
