New  Student  Orientation  is  in  full  swing,  and  if  you  are  on  campus  this  summer,  I  hope  you  get  a  chance  to  get  outdoors  to  enjoy  our  beautiful  grounds.  We’re  so  proud  of  UIS  Baseball,  taking  us  further  in  the  playoffs  than  ever  before,  although  it  didn’t  end  as  we  had  hoped.  Congrats  to  the  team  and  coaches  for  this  milestone  in  our  university  history!  &nbsp;

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">“The  pandemic  impacted  all  of  the  Center’s  divisions  in  a  variety  of  ways.&nbsp;  For  the  Child  Protection  Training  Academy  it  meant  an  immediate  transition  to  a  different  kind  of  simulation  training,  one  that  had  not  yet  been  contemplated  or  piloted.&nbsp;  Amy  quickly  envisioned  a  hybrid  simulation  training  model  that  met  the  needs  of  the  DCFS  workforce,  using  a  combination  of  technology  and  in-person  interactions  transmitted  over  Zoom.&nbsp;  The  feedback  has  been  overwhelmingly  positive  and  several  states  have  reached  out  to  observe  our  model  so  they</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Paul  Pinneo  has  been  named  the  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  Employee  of  the  Month  for  June  2022.  He  has  worked  as  Web  Specialist  III  for  the  UIS  Office  of  Web  Services  since  July  2019.



Pinneo’s  nominator  describes  him  as  “a  great  team  player,  always  helping  the  office/campus  as  a  whole  with  his  contributions  outside  of  his  day-to-day  duties.”</div>
