No On-Site Shield Testing June 20
The Shield COVID-19 testing site is closed today, June 20, due to a laboratory closure. The site will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21.

“The pandemic impacted all of the Center’s divisions in a variety of ways. For the Child Protection Training Academy it meant an immediate transition to a different kind of simulation training, one that had not yet been contemplated or piloted. Amy quickly envisioned a hybrid simulation training model that met the needs of the DCFS workforce, using a combination of technology and in-person interactions transmitted over Zoom. Paul Pinneo has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for June 2022. He has worked as Web Specialist III for the UIS Office of Web Services since July 2019.
Pinneo’s nominator describes him as “a great team player, always helping the office/campus as a whole with his contributions outside of his day-to-day duties.”
