University of Illinois Springfield Associate Professor and chair of the Department of Political Science Sibel Oktay, Ph.D., has been named a nonresident senior fellow of public opinion and foreign policy at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. She joins the ranks of scholars from prominent universities across the United States.
WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield Center for Lincoln Studies will hold an online panel discussion on “Why Juneteenth: Remembrance and Reflection.” After the program, there will be a question and answer session with the panelists.

The University of Illinois Springfield’s Innovate Springfield and College of Business and Management is launching a pilot startup fellowship program, with support from the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln and the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance. They have also partnered with iVenturED and the Sangamon CEO program.
