Colleagues,
Welcome to the new academic year! I always look forward to New Faculty Welcome Week and this year is no exception. It is invigorating to see more people on campus as we gear up for the return of students and the start of fall classes. There may be a bit more noise and the need for advanced planning to navigate construction in various places, but those are good problems to have as we make our beautiful campus even better for the future.
As we look ahead to the new year, I also want to celebrate some of the great work that took place this past year. Please check out the inaugural Academic Affairs Annual Impact Report to see just some of the highlights from 2024-2025. It was an eventful year. I am confident that whatever lies ahead, this year will be an eventful one as well.
Thanks for all you do for UIS. I wish you a terrific fall semester.
