Three members of the UIS men's track and field team competed at SIUE's Cougar Classic on Saturday afternoon, going up against a strong field that included NCAA Division I opponents from Missouri, Southern Indiana, Lindenwood, and Evansville. Meet Recap Dom Cantarini, a freshman, placed 14th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:03.85, just ahead of teammate Finn Loken, who was 15th in 4:05.26. In the 800-meter run, Lucas Naugle placed 19th out of 26 runners with a time of 2:06.23.

The Illinois Springfield baseball team secured two wins over Missouri Southern on Saturday, improving its overall record to 24-10 and extending the win streak to 15 games. The first game featured a dramatic comeback, highlighted by an Ethan Bowers grand slam. In game two, starter Mark Decicco delivered a complete-game performance for the win.

The Illinois Springfield men's golf team wrapped up its regular season with a seventh-place finish out of 20 teams at the Illinois College Blueboy Invite on Friday.

The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team fell 7-0 to Missouri-St. Louis on Friday afternoon in its GLVC opener. The Prairie Stars are now 0-8 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
