Miller became the first UIS runner to break the 5-minute barrier in the indoor mile with a time of 4:57.00, marking a new milestone for the program. Her performance currently ranks No. 55 in NCAA Division II as of Friday night.

Despite strong offensive efforts and late-inning pushes, the Prairie Stars were unable to complete their comebacks in the opening day of the Alvy Early Memorial Classic.
