The Illinois Springfield men's golf team got off to a promising start at the GLVC Championship in Bolivar, Mo. The Prairie Stars sit in a tie for seventh place after the opening round of stroke play, navigating wet course conditions, strong winds, and weather delays. Julien Babineau, tied for fourth, reflected on his performance: "It was a really solid round today despite the rain and wind. I'm excited to put myself in a good position to compete for the rest of the tournament."

The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team continued Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Saturday afternoon, falling 7-0 to Lewis. The Prairie Stars are now 0-10 overall and 0-3 in conference action, with two league matches remaining in the regular season.

The UIS women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Lewis 4-3 in Romeoville. With the victory, the Prairie Stars move to 1-9 overall and 1-2 in GLVC play, with three of five conference matches now in the books. 

The UIS women's track and field team wrapped up its regular season at Indiana State's Gibson Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind.
