African American Student Event
Learn about some of the programs and resources offered by the African American community which provides a network of programs and support services promoting the individual, social, cultural and academic well-being of African American students:
- Black Male Initiative (BMI)Ìý–ÂÖò³ó±ðÌýBlack Male Initiative (BMI), was established by the UIS Diversity Center intends to increase, encourage, and support the inclusion and educational success of male students of color, particularly African- American males (AAM). The program assists students in both, their academic and professional endeavors, promotes and advocate for an improved educational experience and quality of life at 69ÂÜÀòapp Springfield.
- Greek Life – Alpha Phi Alpha (ΑΦΑ) is the first Black, Inter-Collegiate Greek-Lettered fraternity.
