Jessie Misico, an online computer science major at the University of Illinois Springfield, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) offered by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She will be studying Russian in Tbilisi, Georgia during the summer of 2023.
The University of Illinois Springfield Computer Science Department has opened a new high-tech research laboratory in the basement of the Health and Sciences Building. It鈥檚 called the Orion Lab, named after UIS鈥� mascot. The lab is open to all UIS students, faculty and staff for their research projects.
