Join UIS Human Resources and Chancellor Gooch on the roof of Brookens Library on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 7:00-9:00pm for the Know Your U Moon Party, where we will learn about the newly renovated UIS Campus Observatory and the famous UIS Star Parties!
What does your position entail, what do you like most about your job or what motivates you to wake up and go to work?
I love walking into the NPR studio and seeing the awesome people I work with. I also love when I can sit down with a community member and have a heart-felt conversation about what inspires them.
What drew you to your current position?
A 22-year veteran of the University of Illinois Springfield Police Department will continue to lead the force without an 鈥渋nterim鈥� tag.
The school this week said interim police chief Ross Owens will be the next permanent chief. The move is pending approval from the U of I Board of Trustees, although those appointments typically go through without any trouble.

The University of Illinois Springfield has named Laura Liesman as its Designate Director of Athletics, pending approval by 69萝莉app Board of Trustees. The Aurora, Illinois native has spent the past 18 years at Georgian Court University (GCU) in Lakewood, New Jersey.
