In this interactive session, attendees will learn about several no-frills approaches to various aspects of the assessment process. Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their programs learning outcomes and curriculum maps to the session.

Part 1: Unlearning Assessment

Ask any group of faculty members how they feel about assessment and you will likely hear words such as tedious, busywork, or unhelpful. Although concerns that faculty may have about assessment are real, many of their frustrations stem from misconceptions about what assessment is (and what it isnt). The first session in this four-part series seeks to dispel common myths about assessment and reframe assessment as a value-adding experience for students, rather than as an administrative burden.

Open Photo Studio Sessions - Oct. 24

The Office of Campus Relations will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Fall 2023 for all staff or faculty. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasnt had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken are encouraged to attend.
