Employee Development Series: Leaves

We are thrilled to introduce the August installment of the Employee Development Series: Leaves of Absence. This session will be presented by Heather Moore from the Office of Human Resources. Get ready to take a comprehensive dive into Leave Types/Benefits, how/when to apply for a Leave of Absence with HR, and how/when to report Leave in our Timekeeping Systems. With this session, we aim to demystify Leaves of Absence and promote a deeper understanding among our campus community.

If you did not make a health plan change, or you are NOT a current health plan participant, then you may disregard this email.

Lunch at the Lake

Did you know that UIS has a field station located on Lake Springfield just steps away from campus? Well, now you do! Bring your lunch and join us for lawn games, canoeing or a field station lab tour on July 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Spend your lunch hour getting to know this hidden gem and all that this space has to offer! Cookies will also be provided.

The Field Station is located at聽9 Club Area, Springfield, IL 62712.

Employee Development Series: Timekeeping

The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce the next installment of the Employee Development Series: Timekeeping. This session will be held virtually on June 24聽from 9 to 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend this session. Systems that we will be discussing and demonstrating are as follows: VSL, AVSL, FLRS, Timesheets (Banner Self-Service). Speakers will also be covering the time-entry process specific to leaves, as well as establishing time reporting procedures within your office.

Please finalize your evaluations and submit them to our office using the evaluation form found on our Performance Evaluation Program webpage. CSAC聽provides a communication link between Civil Service employees, the Director of Human Resources, the Chancellor, campus-wide, university-wide, and state-wide groups. All status (non-probationary) Civil Service employees are invited to submit online nomination forms for this year's Civil Service Advisory Council (CSAC) election.
