10.7.24 Dear Faculty and Staff, Please join me and other members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet at the Fall Employee Information Session, beginning at 3 p.m. Oct. 16 in Brookens Auditorium. During this session, you will hear from me and vice chancellors Vickie Cook and Ken Kriz about our university’s priorities and strategic initiatives, including enrollment and budget. Following the presentation, we will open the floor for a Q&A. I hope you can join us for this important conversation. If you cannot attend, a recording will be available at a later date. |

Congratulations to Chris Denq! His paper, "Hempel and the Raven Paradox," has been accepted by Ephemeris, an undergraduate Philosophy journal published by the Union College! It will appear in the 2024 edition of the journal. Chris's paper is among the three that were accepted from a total of 35 submissions. |

UIS Women’s Golf Prepares for Lewis Flyers Fall Intercollegiate

The UIS women's golf team will head to Lemont, Illinois, for the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club on Oct. 7-8. Hosted by conference foe Lewis, the tournament will feature ten teams, including several from the GLVC. The Prairie Stars are coming off a 15th-place finish at the William Beall Invitational, where they posted a combined score of 947 (315, 316, 316) over three rounds.

Women's Soccer Loses Battle to Drury on Sunday

The Illinois Springfield women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Drury in a tough defensive battle on Sunday. With this result, UIS moves to 4-3-3 on the season and 4-2-1 in GLVC play, while Drury improves to 8-1-2 and 6-1-0 in the conference.

UIS Men’s Golf Looks Ahead to Lewis Flyers Fall Intercollegiate

The UIS men's golf team will travel north to Cog Hill Golf and Country Club for the Lewis Flyers Fall Intercollegiate on Oct. 7-8. The event will feature 16 teams, including a mix of GLVC rivals and teams from outside NCAA Division II. The Prairie Stars are coming off an 11th-place finish at the Midwest Regional Preview, posting a total of 900 strokes for 54 holes.
